Personalized, Streamlined Service
When you make an appointment with one of our attorneys, we will ask you to bring in all of your relevant financial documents. When you arrive, you will fill out a five-page form so we can get an accurate picture of your personal financial situation.
Next, you will meet one-on-one with a lawyer to discuss what bankruptcy is and how filing for either Chapter 7 liquidation or Chapter 13 reorganization bankruptcy would affect you personally. We will also explain our fee structure upfront so you will know exactly where you stand.
Once you make the decision to file for bankruptcy, you are required by federal law to go through a 45-minute credit counseling session. This is not as involved at it sounds; it can be done over the phone or online.
After your counseling session, we will present you with a bankruptcy petition for you to look over and sign. We will then file that petition with the court. Most bankruptcies involve a single meeting with the bankruptcy trustee, which may be very short.
Altogether, we have put together a filing procedure designed to take the worries out of the bankruptcy process. Our priority is to make your filing go smoothly so you can get back on your feet after financial difficulties. Contact us to get started today.
Most Filers Still Have OptionsWhen the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) was adopted by Congress in 2005, much of the media publicity made it sound as if it would be impossible for most people to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. In fact, most people who are in a position to be considering bankruptcy are still eligible for Chapter 7, even after BAPCPA. We will help you understand the differences between Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy so you can make an informed decision about which one is best for you. |
We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
